I am dedicating this post to Michael Urie (who plays Marc in the 'Ugly Betty' series). I really love the way he makes those funny expressions while delivering his dialogues. He does it nicely and better than our female actors playing those -ve characters.

Delhi Revisited
After a long time visited South Delhi - this time Raj n' I made a small plan of visiting the historic monuments of our city. As per the plan, we met at Qutub Minar. I reached at around 11 AM. The route which auto waale uncle ji took was the one i was passing by after a gap of more than 2 years. All the old memories flushed thru as it was only yesterday that I shifted from South Delhi to Dwarka. Saw Mahipalpur road in a good condition - not sure whether the road was laid out after the downpour ended or was it in same good condition earlier as well ? whatever it was - it was good. Vasant Kunj - I cant recall a happy/neutral moment when there were pickups scheduled for work from this area earlier n' mine used to be the 1st or the 2nd pick up in the roster. Vasant Kunj, Kishan Garh - for me they were the same - hardly made any difference. N' after a gap of 2 years I was on the Adchini road - it was all together a different feeling. There was a time when I was regular on these routes. But things have changed at my end :)
Anyways coming back to Qutub Minar - I was fearing that my camera might run out of charge as I did not charge them before starting off with my short trip today. I enquired about the batteries which were getting sold outside Qutab Minar - and the prices almost shocked me - a pait of batteries (non-rechargeable) for 160 bucks. The worst part - my camera uses 4 AA size batteries - I did not imagined myself shelling out some 300 bucks for those batteries - no ways. But at the same time wasnt sure how am going to manage. After consulting Raj, I dropped the idea of buying the batteries n' we went inside the premises. We shot pictures and there was this time when one of the security guards on duty suggested as how to get some good shots - Thank You Bhaiya Ji n' am dead sure Raj would be one of the happiest ladies in town today :d (Do check out her fb/orkut a/c though not sure where she is going to upload the pic for the world :D) Man, this guy deserves a pat on the shoulder :) My father told us once (when I was 10-11 yrs old) about the new minar which one of the Raja's tried to build in competition to the Qutub Minar but the task could not be completed as he died after the intial work.So only thing which is visible to our eyes are the remains.
We reached Dilli Haat after Qutub Minar - thats the place where we preferred to have our lunch. We moved to Kalkaji to have a look at the Lotus Temple - it was good. I've been earlier to LT/DH/QM. Delhi has gone a tremendous changes in the past couple of years - I couldnt recognize few of the places. But I welcome the change as we need public transportation like Metro in our city. Area around the LT has undergone a massive change. I dropped Raj back to INA Metro station & took the same auto to Dwarka.
It was all tiring but worth it!

31 over
Completed 31 years of existence on this planet yesterday. It was nice - hearing from all the school & the old pals after a long time. There were sms-es, phone calls, wishes on fb :) can't ask for more.Life was different 10 years back. Sometimes when I think of my age I end up getting jitters. But getting old is a slow & a gradual process. There are still unexplored arena of life which might surprise me in this journey of life. I wish n' pray.........
cheers!
