God bless!

The gone week was bad specially past few days.

AI plane crash is still on mind. I was shocked when watched the news on CNN yesterday. The news was covered live. I had an amazing time while travelling on AI-IA planes. I've no clue how to react but am in sombre mood today after going thru today's newspaper.

On top of it the comments made by few of my colleagues on the plane crash zooms-in on my mind when I think of plane crash. I dont believe that I work with such people & the worst part - our DM/Mnanager thinks they they're one of the mature breeds that they've promoted. I hate to share those comments but then I needs to relax - so here goes the "golden words" -

- J**** 's comment - India ki population kam ho jayegi - does he know what he's talking abt.

- A*****'s comment - with a smile on his face says they're not sure if AI is going to pay his father's salary for the month. His father works with AI.

- J****'s another comment - Mallu hi to the - referring to the people who were on board that ill-fated flight.

I dont want to admit but I work with such people who even dont know what the grieving families would be going thru. They dont know what pain, grieve is all about. They cant even share sympathy. what more can be expected from such inhumans.

Thinking about flying - I had my amazing experience with AI/IA. Their in-flight entertainment package, the food they serve.... too good. Let me count the number of airports that I've been to - Trivandrum Airport
Cochin Airport
Coimbatore Airport
Salem Airport,
Mumbai Airport,
Hyderabad Airport,
B'lore airport,
Srinagar Airport n' top it all -
Delhi Airport

Foreign Airports - San Francisco Airport, and
Heathrow Airport

** I finished Chetan Bhagat's 2 states last sunday. I completed this book in hours. :) I started reading it when I bought it from the Trivandrum Airport's book store. It went on non-stop till we reached Delhi. I gave a break when we reacjed B'lore & we boarded the flight back to Delhi :) Remaining 100+ pages were completed by me on my off last sunday. It is one of the funniest books I've read so far by the author after Five point someone.

** At work its the usual scene - this time we had a meeting (vintage folks)with our manager - not even once he appreciated our work which we did for the past couple of months since the project's inception here. Needless to say it was one of the useless meetings. The next day our DM wanted to know our max CTC so he sent out a sms. I refused to share that information with him. I am not at all comfortable.Let him get this from our HR. These guys never thought about us so why I should be bothered at all. I am seriously looking for a change now. I am forwarding my cv/talking to all the people I can.... Lets c how things work out this time....

Trip n' that special someone

I am tired after a day's work & a 4-hour night's sleep after a tiresome journey..

We left for Nagercoil on Thursday & came back yesterday night. Though it was a short trip but a nice one. I got to play with my puss cat (Pussy cat) & fed him whenever possible. Then there was baby puss cats too (kittens) - had an amazing time with them. As I am writing this post am missing them terribly.

Our flight was rescheduled/postponed from its original time by an hour or so. So accordingly we had to change our connecting flight from B'lore - courtesy Jet Airways/Jet lite. To kill the time through out the journey I had to do something. So at Trivandrum Airport at the book stall i picked up Chetan Bhagat's '2-states - the story of my marriage'. Somehow I liked his style of writing. He pitched in with humour in this story in a nicely way. I've enjoyed reading this book throughout my journey & glued to it till we landed in Delhi. I've completed 162 pages of this book & still some 100 more to go.

And somehow after going thru this book, i remembered am missing all that in my life rather i should say its just not there in my life. Its precious and makes life a lot easier.

I guess i need a good night's sleep now. Will continue this later.....

I pray that every individual n' every human being on earth feels the warmth of love n' it never leaves them......

:(

I am depressed & don't feel like going to the office anymore. The kind of feedback which was shared by my manager's manager has demotivated me. I hate him for this. Somewhere down the line he has hurt my innerself & my own ego. Moreover the kind of environment which is in N** right now am finding it hard to cope up with the people who are around me and their behavior.I no longer trust anyone - I am seeing people changing their own tune which they used to "play" at one point of time.

Trip & a wedding

Last week was pretty hectic for me. Was unwell for 2 days & had to take offs on mon & tues. Had to visit Doc as the temperature wasnt going down. I had temperature of 103 'C when we visited Doc. Went to work on wed. Thursday - had to wake up 4 in the morning as had to board the 7 am flight to Coimbatore. Only reaching at the Airport I came to know that the flight to Coimbatore is via Mumbai. Anyways we reached Airport at 6 AM. At the last moment I was packing my stuff. First time I saw the Flight status as "Boarding" even when there was 45 min to go for the flight to take off & we did not clear the security check-ins. We were not alone.... There were others too :D

Indian Airlines has improved a lot - be it their food or in-flight entertainment channels. You will find different movies played on different routes. For e.g. last month when we travelled from Delhi-Trivandrum (via Kochi) the movie which they had was "Love Aajkal". And this time I get to watch two movies. One was starring Bobby Deol & kagana - dont know the name of the movie. Another movie was getting played on another video channel- starring Shammi Kapoor & Asha Parekh - once again dont know the name of the movie but it had some amazing numbers including the one 'O mere sona re sona re son re ..." When the movie reached its climax our flight reached its destination - Coimbatore. Prior to that we landed in Mumbai - my first live experience of Mumbai. The Airport is all surrounded with slums - one of the biggest in Asia - but you wont even come to realize it b'cause it doesnt look bad from above :) I found the Mumbai crowd - people who got down at Mumbai - well behaved, dressed and decent as compared to Delhites. I would love to visit Mumbai again n' would like to explore their culture (that by default includes food too). After landing in Coimbatore we boarded a cab to Salem which was approx. 150 km away.

It was a nice drive because of the smooth roads. We crossed over Cauvery river which was full of water. When we reached Aunt's place we were told that we were the first relative to arrive for the function. It was my cousin's wedding the next day. It was a north + south indian marriage. My cousin is from south & his bride from Jabalpur. He follows Christianity & her bride is from a Hindu family. Anyways the bride's family was expected to reach by 3 PM but their train was late. I waited till 10 PM - was dead tired so went upstairs to catch up some sleep. The relatives arrived around 10 PM & they had their dinner. I slept like a log & woke up next morning. I had batch early in the morning because we had some customs to follow - we went to the hotel & gave sarees & all other stuff to the would-be bride. My bua speaks good hindi so conversing with the other people wasnt that difficult. But still the translation was happening as they sung songs. After it was over we went back to home for lunch - relatives were expected for lunch. After lunch we started getting dressed for the occasion. Had few photo sessions which were funny - thanks to my cousin. We all departed for the Church where the ceremony was suppose to take place. Church was all decorated beautifully with flowers. The ceremony took place - bride & the groom said their prayers & accepted each other as husband & wife. Everyone proceeded to the community hall for dinner where the reception was hosted. I was ggiven a good job - had to stand on the stage along with the newly weds to collect the gifts. Thats a job given by my bua to yours truly. I had no issues but I stood there for more than 2 hrs - God there were so many people - and imagine yourself standing for that long on a footwear which I wore after nearly a gap of 3 years. After every few minutes I looked at the Q hoping that it will get shorter - (people lined up for the presentation ceremony). Anyways everything went off well & wanted to return back to Delhi to my sweet home & wanted to sleep on my sweet bed for a good sleep.

Next day we boarded a Kingfisher flight from Salem to Chennai - it was a small aircraft - baby aircraft :D. The pilot's accent reminded me that its not the first time I am listening to such an accent. His accent reminded me of Ruslan. :) We reached Chennai shortly within 45 mins. From there we boarded Indigo flight back to Delhi. My suggestion would be to never board indigo as its one of the cheapest airlines & the lack of space would be a big discomfort for you.I've told my father that i wont fly unless he gets the tickets booked with AI/IA in future :) It was a good journey but a tiring one. One more thing - when I am in South I at times get the feeling as if I am in California & when i was there in San Francisco I felt as if am in my home town. It has happened to me many times when I visited South last month & this month. I still dont know the reason why.

trip n' lalala laaaaaaaaa

Finally, here I am in front of my laptop writing this post after 2 weeks of holidays. I am still in that holiday mood. I did not feel like coming back - reasons - 1. Weather in South is great- you dont require a sweater - no chill no fog no pollution - simply enjoy the greenery & the wonderful weather 2. Simply "haram khoori" - feels great to be away from office :) 3. Those pussy cats - I'll miss playing with them - my best time with an animal after my rabbit expired way back in 1999.

Now let me summarize my trip:

Be it morning, eve, noon or night, every other relative of ours was enquiring & curious to know as whats happening at my personal front. They were ready to help to such an extent that they arranged a meeting with a guy after a day I reached there. So I was "occupied" in answering all kinds of questions thrown by my relatives including as what kind of guy i would like to get married to. I even thought of telling them someone whose got 4 legs , 4 ears :d Kidding!
I am so sick & tired of meeting these guys that I hate to talk about my experiences.

1st proposal: This guy doesnt have a job and he asked me about my salary in front of people that too in the first meeting. I was pissed off & still am. My parents were all set to get me maaried to this fellow until they visited his home. They were disappointed & someone was happy :)

2nd proposal: Guy did not turn up so was happy. N' I dont think this would materialize as my parents are not that interested as they were initially due to x-y-z reasons. Good for me!

3rd proposal: Would be good if relatives would stop helping me in finding 'such' a life partner. Period.

4th proposal: This one came just a day before our trip back to Delhi. Guy is working in Thailand but the parents are not sure about the name of the city where the he lives. Though they have all the details about his living. Nyways- only the guy's parents came - the guy's father was more interested & worried about me wearing specs. He even made me to take out my glasses for a min. & I had to obey only & only because of my parents. Disgusting! I dont see myself getting married to such a guy whose father is looking for a perfect bride for his son & am not perfect!

Between the 3rd & the 4th proposal, there was a gap of 10 days & all my mausis & mamaajis asked me all kind of weird qestions regarding me not getting married at this age & why I did not like the guy (1st proposal)

Best moments were the ones which I spent with those cutie cats- ah I simply loved them & I'll miss them like nything.N' of course not to forget how I lazed around doing no work - absolutely no work. I proved everyone & to me that I am a big lazy bum! :D

On our way back saw the beauty of nature. Flying can be boring if one has to stick to the seat for 5 hrs. But this time nature loved me for some reasons :)
