After 4 years!

My last post was in year 2020 and we are in year 2024. Time indeed flies :D

Hard to squeeze in the updates of the events transpired in the last 4 years but whatever has happened, it happened for good.

Trust, faith and love - within and outside - has helped me to grow in my life. Life at times takes a sudden turn - can be for good or bad. All depends how we react to the events.

** Not in touch with P******* anymore - she has things to deal by herself and thinks she doesn't need anyone else. So be it.

** Met some amazing people through our book club.

** Monthly book club meet has helped me a lot in understanding the perspectives of others and of course, books written by the people. Fiction has its own beauty and will take you to another world :)

** Physical attraction - can become so strong that it can take over your mind :P Top it with the voice and personality of the person. Add to it - his golden heart - that's it - you are done with your life :P

** There is so much to explore and experiment - places and its essence. Not to forget - food. Skipping a meal is not a bad idea - tested it in the past year and still going strong :)

Childhood & Tree :)

Years ago when my mother would call my brother asking him about his whereabouts he would say " mein paed(tree) ke neeche hoon" [I am standing below this tree] which was near to our apartment building. And so this sentence became his pet dialogue. Even if he is not near the tree the same dialogue my parents ended up hearing throughout his teens.

Time changed and this teen grew up, got married and now there's a princess in his home.

Yesterday when I was out on a morning walk, saw my brother sitting under a tree (we changed city so its another one) with his little princess watching a game of cricket. And then I said it to myself - what goes around comes around :)) I am waiting for her to starting talking so we can teach and make her rote that same dialogue :P Would be loads of fun to watch :))

And I am still smiling :)

Cheers!

Work and food :)

When I look back and try to recall some fond memories of past organizations I was associated with, somehow I end up thinking about good food that was served in those companies.

So in Bangalore it all started with A********* and I never liked their Electronic city office cafeteria. But the counters were really good. I still remember the fried maggi we all had 4 in the morning. And then every (alternate) fridays they served cake from CCD. It used to be so fresh and yummie and was the best till now. After a while they switched over to Sweet Chariot for the cake and then it was "ok". Post shift to Belandur, most of the vendors got changed. But then we had variety - be it snacks or lunch / dinner. Pasta, chaat, to name few - coffee, shake - outside on the terrace. Our group had a good time. Such a big cafeteria it was.

Then came my change and this time it was D*. They had only pantry - a small one. Morning and evening tea was must. After a while I started having tea (Ginger) at the outlet (Tea House) once I got down from the bus. Then team lunches at the food court and Aha biryaani was the one where we all ate. The queues used to be long specially on Fridays. We always targeted to be there at least by 12:30 PM to avoid standing in the queue for long. Then our pantry vendor was there to serve chaat and corn flakes ( for as low as Rs 5). Amazing time we all had !

I dont feel like writing the name of this company where I made my last switch. They had a small pantry without any vendor. They did install the vending machine but I didn't get to use it. Basement food court had variety - samosa, samosa chaat & chole bhature at shiv sagar - the quantity and quality was at par. To the left side enclosure, there was a biryaani  counter (green colored rice) and a newly opened counter - again serving some delicious and mouth watering biryaani. The sandwich shop did justice to the coffee, sandwiches and pizzas which they made. And then our "chai point" :)

This Tuesday I tried the tasty sandwiches at "M***** chai" outside our home but it tasted different to me. Did they hire new people ? Did the existing staff leave for their home towns ? Or was it because we now live in another atmosphere of masks and sanitizers ?

I am still looking for the answers above and yes, food has always been part of our key moments / celebrations / daily lives. And it will continue to be like that ....

Eat good and stay healthy !

I am back !

Here comes my post after ages. Its been a while and I almost forgot about this page till Ka**** reminded me of writing. It was one of our usual conversation and we started talking about writing. The conversation took me back to o3 days. She was curious and wanted to know about my blog.

Next day I checked o3. The site was not available. I was really sad! Then pinged our train fan blogger - Vrij - and came to know that o3 doesnt exists and all the attempts made to retrieve the posts went futile. How depressing is that ! Posts written with love and care and the comments on them were like icing on a cake. Those were the days. All my cribbing and crying related to work those days were all recorded.....with live action and reaction :D

Then a good thing happened. Vrij added me to o3 WA group and this gone saturday we had our first virtual session. Though lot of them met in person years ago, I was the odd one out in that group :P But then I keep seeing few of them on fb with their updates - vrij, divya, dte, busybee, vani, lavanya, godo, sumit, ellen, phillips. WOW !

Hope this association continues for lifetime. And its already more than 10+ years :)

15th Jan 2016

It was Abhilasha's last working day at work. She was with the org for a shorter time but indeed made lot of friends here. It was a good farewell party that her friends and colleagues gave. A really good one. We all went out for dinner after cake cutting ceremony. I managed to have soup and non-veg platter while other folks had drinks. Had to come out in between as I had cab to board. These guys went on. Its been ages that I went out like this for a dinner with a group :) I think I should go out very often.
Peace!

13th Aug'15

Today attended the monthly dental appointment with Dr.O***. That doctor looked so smart today. Don't know the reason but he did look "drop dead gorgeous" in my language. Red cheeks .... New glass frame, clean shaven, side partitioned hair style.... Oops!! Even K***** who was there with her kids found him "dead" smart. Haiiiii!

Rest is all good! Had a nice evening with Kavita and her kids with gol-gappe n jalebi!!

Tomorrow would be ethnic day at work.planning to wear saree - let's see how this would turn out!
Love n Peace!

28th July 2015

A lot has happened since last time I wrote. Cleared PMP - finally! That was one mammoth task and felt relieved afterwards. The feeling of achieving something on your own by giving in your day and night is priceless! Now aiming for a job change - hope n pray it happens soon.

Gone Saturday attended team outing. It was fun and different from usual weekends and working days. Hadn't Shruti planned for it I wouldn't have attended it. Food and activities were fun. Missed company of friends but Shruti was there. So tagged along with her.

I think have become more bold now. But have to think carefully from head. Probably I am still learning!

Learnt to let go things which are not meant for me. It's not that easy but somewhere down in your life one has to make that choice. So I did.

Today Abhilasha's words prompted me to think over it. Whatever happens its for good. I still don't know how to answer when people ask me whether I found someone in the past. Truth is I met so many people but no one stood by my side like a rock. Probably I am just not that lucky. But let it be. I am fine like this. everything happens for a reason and am sure there's something more good to come :) But dating still a big no :)

Have put on so much - got to reduce :)

Love n Peace!

26th April 2015

Lot has happened since my last post -

* Lost both my upper molars - needless to say its for my ongoing treatment. Braces on my upper teeths caused real trouble to me and was off from work for 3 days.Luckily Dr was visiting so he fixed it again. This chap looks really sweet without that lab coat :P

* Pinged one of my ex-crushes to get my CV reviewed. came to know that he went through a divorce. Was really upset for few days. This guy doesnt deserve this. But whatever happens it happens for good. He would get his second chance and I can dream about him :D *blush*

* Gearing up for the exam - not sure what  would write and how it would go

* Nothing great at work front. Utterly confused as what I want to do. Lot of restructuring happening at work. Anyhow have updated my profile on hob sites.

* My neighbors at work act funny at times. But I am not complaining as humour is needed in life. And who doesnt like to get compliments. Thanks J*****!

* This guy in the office recently moved from Mumbai and he looks so sweet. * haaai*

* Tried to hook up Yash* and Abh**. So last week spoke with Yas** - seems she is not ready for it. Np problem. Lets try Ka**** & him. Would speak to her in the eve :P people should not remain single for long - not good

As far as I am concerned I want to make friends - lots of them. Love-shove is not meant for me and I am not sad for this - not at all. If someone has to come, he would knock :) Everyone has got a life to live - and its different for everyone. So its different for me too ! I am accepting the will of God. Let him take control of my life - but would keep doing my bit too :) *Best Friends*

Peace!

7th Feb 2015

So much has happened at work. Lakshmi and Priyanka are gone :( Last year moved to 2nd floor. New floor - new folks around but the team was the same. Then my cubicle neighbour. After so many months, I realized he's a funny man. He can tickle anyone with his talks. One should listen to his conversations with his team members and manager - its all so funny.

* On a call with his manager on a speaker phone with his colleague (seated in his cubicle)
Manager: so are you guys in a closed conference room
He: yes sir. all closed around

* Few days back someone was humming our national anthem from one of the neighbouring cubicles. So I pinged my neighbour on chat saying the same.
Me: hey someone humming our national anthem
He: yeah, must be Modi's grandson
me: lol
He: should I go and kick him
Me: Go ahead - we are already on a Titanic (sinking ship) :P

* Yesterday overheard this on one of his call -
" Ek ghar mein bachche ka 2 papa nahi hota" :d On hearing I made some face in front of him and after he was done with his call asked him. Seems his team was confused on reporting structure because of 2 directors at the top.

I asked him as what makes him tick. He answer was Bollywood movies :D

Bless him and his family !

Peace!

1st Feb '15

Today met the pals from my batch. Sometimes the unimaginable happens in our life. Met Anita n Pooja after school days. Anita was the same girl who used to attend tuition classes with me. And I was able to recall only today while speaking to her. Met Pummy too. You share a special bonding with the people you studied and even more special when your parents worked in the same dept and you lived in the same society or colony. We had langar in the Gurudwara. First time in my life and then spent some time in McD.

Peace n love to everyone!

11th Jan'15

Forgot and misplaced my wallet contaong 7.5k of cash with debit and ID cards. The guy at the MC was sensible and picked and submitted at the counter. I realized after an hour that I left the wallet somewhere. Ran and finally got it at MC counter. Really thank them from the bottom of my heart.

Went to parlour and this female was trying to be smart to get her things done before me. She was kind of impatient and the guy at the counter realized it. But he ensured that I am getting my chance as I came before her. He specifically told the girl that I need to be looked first. Thank you so much!

And then I got a hair cut in the morning. Went for short hair after 1.5 yrs of growing them long. Was getting split ends so had then short.

Love and Peace!

23rd and 24th Dec

Finally the day came and starts the beginning of my leaves.
23rd Dec: kind of got into argument with S****** on paying the amount for a bus ticket which I did not travel. She did not care to tell me before the trip that the ticket couldn't be cancelled. Something she has to accept. I can't argue and fight with an emotional mind. I try to find out some solution instead of pin point or blaming anyone for anything. In the evening met P***** over tea and had a good time. On our way back saw and met G********* and her parents. Seems whatever has transpired in the last few days she has taken it personally and still thinking about it seriously. Arrey yaar move on. People planned, went and came back from the trip. And continuously thinking negative about it won't lead anywhere. Anyways we spoke as if nothing happened.

24th Dec: was suppose to meet My school pals over breakfast - S****** & P*********. Was suppose to reach there by 8 but got late by an hour. Good thing was they waited for me and only I reached we had breakfast. It was nice meeting them.

Went for shopping to Phoenix and bought few stuff. In the evening went to meet the Zumba folks in a small get-together. It was so much if fun. Indeed women becomes strong once she gets married and when she give birth to child and raises them. So much of laughter - just loved it - touchwood. May this group grow and we cherish each other's presence.

Peace and Merry Christmas!

Hmmm....

Didn't knew what to put as a title of this post. So ended up with hmmm....

Pune visit came as an eye opener for me.Good that I went there. I thought I knew about people who are in my life. Santosh was amazed to hear that I am in his city. He invited me over to his place. I said it would be awkward for everyone at home. He said no it would be fine. Then in a shocking voice he said that I will come to know lot many things about him. I asked him what that would be..he said his marital status- he is married. I asked him he never told or shared about this with me. His reply stunned me. He said I never asked about it. I've been interacting with this guy close to 5 yrs now and not once he revealed about his marital status. Instead he had sent me messages like "like u and share whatever you feel like" "great to have a Frd like you". Friends don't hide such things and married guy won't send a message like that. Won't talk to this guy again. To hell with him. Felt sorry for the women who married him.

I feel am vulnerable right now. It's like an open wound which needs to be healed.i don't want to fall for anyone right now. But his (guy at work)eyes says something else at times. And how he behaves at times. He is far younger to me.... Let's not dwell deeper into it. The more I think about his eyes more I feel attracted towards him. Oh ... I don't want to fall in this trap again... He is a nice chap though- but no. On one side I say Not now. Let me be with peace. But this feeling is strong I tell your that I feel like giving up..... Hate to go thru this.....

Peace!

Today..

Don't remember as when was the last time I updated this space. But it's been for a while now. Classes and then loads of work in the office.weekends are the time I get to sit at home and relax. But I end up going out for something or the other.

Watched 'jab tak hai jaan' today. In fact watched a movie after a long time. I liked the concept. Everything has got a time - be it love or anything else.Everything happens for a reason and He is the one who writes our story in his own way. A subject like love and relationship still confuses me. But whatever it is I'll sit back and would take  life as it comes. And somehow for the past few days there's a feeling that has erupted inside me - to meet my Delhi friends. To see them how they are doing - to sit and relax with them and of course to laugh with them. Really cherish those old days.Abhishek, Sarika, Rajeev, Kunal to name few who worked with me.you laugh at your own worries and trouble when in a company of good friends. I miss them all.

I'll update this space with more thoughts soon. Till then peace!

Him

I met him and his family finally. It felt as if they had come to meet us to complete the formality. I didn't knew that I'll end up liking this guy.we exchanged pleasantries after our families met. I still don't know why he said that he would talk to me over the phone nice he goes back when was asked by his father to talk to me. He is 36 yrs old and didn't get the feeling as if am meeting someone who is that old. I liked everything about him - his personality, smartness, how he conversed, how he was dressed (formals - thank god no tight jeans) -his small little eyes and of course his small bulging tummy. There was one point when he was talking to everyone and I almost lost myself in his words. He s the first guy whom I've actually liked in the first meeting.thats a different story that we did not talk - still don't know the reason. I waited for his call last weekend thought he would callback but he didn't. I have no regrets. I went thru some beautiful feelings and emotions after meeting him. Not aware of his true nature and behaviour but whatever it was that day that was good :)he is just like the way I wanted him to be :) still no regrets . I am still happy. Life is all about experiences so mine is no different :)

That mesmerising night

Day passed by and it was good being Friday :) except few people at work things were good. Now 4 days break ... Ahhhhaaaa...

While on my way back to home today got completely lost on thoughts. Suddenly I realised that Rajeev used to be great guy once upon time. He always made me smile no matter how bad my mood used to be.somewhere down the lane I somehow missed all the old folks. I took my cellphone and instantly dialled Rajeev's number without giving it a thought.he said he would call back Ashe was at work and tomorrow would be day to talk - being weekend. He sounded in a good chirpy voice and mood- so that's a good sign.

Few days back again while coming back from work I looked up and started to stare at the street lights which were shining brightly on the sides of the road. The more I looked t it and swiftly got transfered to my Delhi days. That feeling was awesome. I completely lost  myself to Delhi thoughts. There was something mesmerising about those lights. It was one unexplainable feeling I went thru that day.

Feeling tired and wanted to sleep now. Neck pain still troubles me. Add on to it the ear pain. Bhudaapa aa gaya, Sally! Good night !
